Sometimes the doctors get subcortical bone when they take your bone marrow biopsy, which can cause you marrow to look empty when it is not. The first hospital that I receieved an opinion from did that...I got a second opinion from another hospital who redid the biopsy and they did confirm aplastic anemia with less than 5%sellularity, but at the time only my platlets were low, and they did think that it was a little unusual. However, all my counts began to gradually decline eventually but am doing well post AGT. Good luck!
