I too agree with you on the body's ability to heal and regenerate itself. The liver can, that's why live liver donor transplants are done. They remove a portion of the donors liver for transplant knowing that the donor liver will grow back. Still a risky process. Also, with kidney transplants...The remaining kidney of the donor grows to make up for the lack of a second kidney. The amount of growth is related to age. The younger the donor the more the remaining kidney grows. It's all pretty amazing.
The body's ability to self heal is awesome. Finding the key to unlock what's stopping it, is the challenge. We're still searching for that key.
