You may want to look up the drug on www.rxlist.com.
There are multiple entries for it so keep going down the list til you get to the one of the oral drugs. This drug is used long term for those that have undergone organ transplant to prevent rejection. But you do need to be monitored for adverse effects.
It's very nice of you to help your friend . I'm sure they're overwhelmed by this entire process.
