Hi Lee,
How nice that you are educating yourself about Aplastic Anemia. I know it means a lot to my Mom when people take an interest in learning more about it. My Mom, who posts on here - Carolyn - goes to MD Anderson for her treatment. She had ATG treatment there, and her level of care has been excellent. Her doctor is in the Leukemia and Bioimmunotherapy Department. When they were checking to see if her brothers were a match for a bone marrow transplant (they were not), she was seen in the bone marrow department. Again, the care there was great.
Here is their website address - www.mdanderson.org where you can look up more information and get any phone numbers that you or the family might need. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. My email is laurasfa@dslextreme.com
Going with the title of your thread, we are also curious about centers in Southern California that treat Aplastic Anemia. My parents are planning on moving out here in a few years, and we are interested in finding out if there are any recommended centers where she can go. We live around Temecula which is between Los Angeles (about 50 miles away) and San Diego (about 70 miles away).
Take care, Laura
