I will know more after todays Dr. visit, but so far, Larry is still holding steady. He has not had a transfusion now for 5 weeks. He is trying to do some light exercise and doing o.k. His finger tips turn blue off and on when he lifts light weights, so obviously his body is still not up to par. Last Tuesday his counts were Hgb at 7.1, white cells were up to 2.2 with 1600 neutrophils and platelets holding steady at 16,000. He is the only person I have heard of with AA who used Neumega for platelets and had success, so I dont know how big of a role that played. Did it somehow "jump start" his system?? I am very cautiously optimistic that the numbers will continue to hold or increase. He fractured a molar over the weekend....went to two dentists, called the Hemo, etc. still not sure what we are going to do. Luckily, its not causing much pain and is not bleeding. The dentist and Hemo. will discuss exactly how to proceed after we get todays numbers. I am so grateful that we are not in the hospital starting the transplant....talk about a Christmas miracle... Have a great New Year......Laura
