Hello, My husband was recently diagnosed with AA after trying to give blood and he came up anemic. After 2 months of tests, they finally figured out it was AA. He has no symptoms at all at this time.

After reading everything I could about AA (thank you to Bruce and all of you on this great site!) I began to wonder if AA wasn't the mother of all allergy responses. From a Western medical perspective, allergy is an overreaction by the immune system. It seems to me that with AA is the immune system going way overboard.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have heard of NAET? (http://www.naet.com/) It stands for Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques. Frankly I am not much a a crystals/ way out there alternative person, but my asthma and allergies were really bad and I was willing to try anything. Basically you get treated for one type of allergen at a time. You avoid the allergen for 25 hours after the treatment and then you are not allergic to it anymore. For example, I hadn't been able to eat milk and milk products for years due to allergies and severe lactose intolerance. Now I can eat it all. I am off allergy shots, etc. I have sent over 30 people to the acupuncturist I see and they all have experienced success, even with severe allegies liks nuts and shellfish.

After reading everything I could find on AA, I was wondering if NAET might help. My husband did one treatment for bacteria, virus, and parasite (the acupunturist thought this might be a cause) and a second treatment for immune system. These treatments were between 12/10 and 12/15.

As you can see from his blood counts that I've included his RBC and his WBC both came up quite a bit. Do you think the acupuncture helped or do blood levels just fluctuate this much?

I was wondering you have heard of anyone else trying this for AA.

Date WBC RBC Platelets

I think at his next appointment with the acupuncturist he should be treated for pesticides. He used to use Round-Up a lot and I am wondering if this was a factor in accuring AA.

Please let me know if any of you have tried this approach. If you are thinking about doing this yourself, just a caution, there are a lot of quacks out there who say they are doing this but they are not. If you go to the web site, you can read all about it and find a Dr who is trained.

Thank you, Karen
