Hi Susie! I am also in the NIH clinical trial. So far, things are OK. Initially, while at NIH, I was taken off the MMF because my neutrophils were recovering so slowly. They said that in some patients the MMF, with Cyclosporin, can be too suppressive. Two weeks ago, Dr. Young started me on a half dose of MMF, then a full dose last week. Since last Friday, my white count has dropped severely, as well as my ANC. It may be the MMF? I don't know. I have heard that not too many people have complained of short-term side effects, but I havent' met anyone at the 18 month period. On a plus, it will be ten days between platelet transfusions for me, which is good for me. Keep in touch - hope that WBC goes up!!!! I'd like to know how things are when you stop the Cyclosporin.
