Thanks to all who responded! Here are some basics to answer some of your inquiries.... ALL of his blood products are irradiated/washed. He just had 2nd round of ATG and also a second bone marrow biopsy to compare to the one from 8 months ago... sadly, he isnt responding or improving. He now doesnt get platelets until they are BELOW 5 and no rbc until his HGB is @ 7. This is to try and get his body a rest from so many transfusions so the antibodies should 'die down' . He is handling the isolation pretty well. We are a very close family with deep faith and a terrific church family. He only has one friend who has been able to handle the changes, and being taught by a homebound can be COOL, and lonely at the same time. We are now changing treatment plans and will let you all know more as we go..... Diana
