Hi Claire, Are you from the Western Shore of MD? I am from the Eastern Shore. I went to Hopkins for my SAA in November, 1999. I had Brodsky and Jones, and was there before they opened that fancy new hospital building. I have been transfusion free (except for a boost of platelets before an appendectomy) since September, 2000. Are you inpatient now or IPOP? I hope your treatment is going well and that your kids are doing o.k. The biggest worry that I had while I was there was my son. He was 15 at the time, and as a single parent, 150 miles away, it was hard. But he was stronger stuff than I ever imagined. I had a laptop in my hospital room and we would Yahoo chat every night. Once we convinced each other that we were okay each night, we would both sleep easier. I wish you the best. Mindy
