Thanks for the info, Becky. It's interesting that some people feel worse when the medications are discontinued, others better. I'm not sure what kind of fungal mouth infection you had, but when Ken had a yeast thing going, it cleared right up as soon as they took him off the prednisone, and he felt better just in general. Also at the lower cyclo level he feels much more like a human being. His creatinine and CSA levels are now back in the safe range, but when we asked the doctor if 200 mg was a therapeutic cyclo dosage, he just shrugged and said "Who knows?" So very encouraging. I am aware that other drugs can raise the CSA level, and one of them, ironically, is prednisone, which I thought was supposed to mitigate the effects of immunosuppressant therapy. You were treated in april, and your response has been weak, do you plan to retreat, or give it more time? Hang in there.
